ABOUT ME

I would like to welcome you to North Elementary for what will surely be a great school year! My name is Erika Taber, and I am extremely excited to be your child’s first grade teacher.

I’ll start by telling you a little about myself. This is my fifth year teaching at North Elementary. I taught second grade during the 2012-2013 school year, kindergarten 2013-2014, and then moved to first grade where I've stayed put.  I was born and raised in Washington and graduated from WHS in 2007. I attended Purdue University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2011.

I look forward to working with your child this year as well as watching the progress that will be made in each individual. If you ever have a question or would like to make a comment use the "contact info" page to reach me or simply place a note in your child's take home folder. I strongly believe that education is a team effort built on strong communication and relationships. I look forward to being part of your team. Thank you for all that you do!

My husband's name is Brad Taber and he works for First Federal bank here in Washington. We have been happily married since June of 2011 and recently gave birth to our little boy, Theo in July of 2016. I have three sisters and one of them happens to be my identical twin. I am a huge family girl so your students will probably have a lot of funny stories to share with you this school year!
